At the Biennale: Our Favorites

  • Lee Mingwei, "The Mending Project", Location: Arsenale

Every two years the art world descends onto the canals of Venice to see the Venice Biennale. The Biennale was founded in 1895 and is now one of the most recognized cultural organizations in the art world. The show has many locations, spreading across the entire city. The fair orbits around The Arsenale and the Gardenia locations. The Arsenale, is a series of “tents” curated by that years chosen curator. The Gardenia location houses each participating country’s pavilions. In the Gardenia, every country nominates an artist to represent them that year. Take a look above to see some of our favorites from this year! Check out our instagram for exclusive stories at fairs like the Biennale.

And if you happen to be in Venice, the Biennale is open through November 27th! For more information: go here.
